At All Heart Psychiatry, each client is look at individually and with a holistic approach to their care. Our symbol represents the importance of not only working towards brain health but the healing of pain that each person has come in contact with. We believe that moving forward in life consists of focusing on both treating unbalanced brain chemistry and the integration of past and present traumas. We strive to be an encouraging, uplifting and safe environment where positive changes take place in everyone who enters our doors. Our approach is based on a team model, where the clients concerns and needs are being met at the highest level of care.

Dr. Teashia Roeske

Dr. Roeske earned a doctorate in nursing practice and is dual-certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. She is also certified to perform Medical Cannabis evaluations in the state of Virginia. Dr. Roeske has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the mental health field for over 7 years and has been mentored by well-known and respected psychiatrists in the local area. Dr. Roeske has treated several different disorders such as; ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD as well as many other DSM-5 diagnoses. 

 

Dr. Roeske started her career in the United States Marine Corps, where she served 6 years in the avionics division ensuring pilots and fighter jets returned to safety. She then graduated with her Associates of Nursing Degree in 2007 from Medical Careers Institute and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Norfolk State University in 2012. Dr. Roeske graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner track) from Walden University in 2014, Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2018 from Old Dominion University, and Post-Masters

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022. Since starting her nursing career, Dr. Roeske has spent clinical time in an inpatient setting, however has worked mainly in an outpatient settings servicing patients across the lifespan specializing in mental health care.

Dr. Roeske found her passion in mental health through the countless hours of interaction with patients as a registered nurse. There she found a love for people and their stories, she wanted to not only treat people medically but with allowing the time to give a listening ear and encouragement. Dr. Roeske has found that mental health issues are a significant barrier in every population and contributes to the inability of patients to live life fully and how they aspire to. Dr. Roeske also has a personal stake in providing mental health care to the military, both active duty and veterans, especially since she has served in the Armed Forces. Dr. Roeske acknowledges the need in the Hampton Roads area for compassionate, trustworthy, and knowledgeable mental health providers and wanted to become a provider that would make a difference to everyone that she can. All Heart Psychiatry is a practice that offers healing for the mind and body by implementing an individual treatment plan using a holistic approach through pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities. 

Services

Dr. Roeske currently treats children (ages 7-17 years) and adults (18 years and older).
